At the core of any conflict lies the immense human cost. No matter who is perceived as winner or loser in a war, lives are lost, people- especially children suffer the consequences, economies, infrastructures, communities and environment are destroyed.
Wars inflict immeasurable suffering, leaving behind a trail of shattered lives and broken families. The toll on soldiers and civilians alike is indescribable, as the scars of physical and emotional trauma linger for generations.
